Tangible Books, located in Chicago IL, is the Chicago Land Area's newest premier bookstore. We specialize in a large selection of books. We carry a wide range selection of topics and interests, and have a constant turnover of books with new books added daily. My 3 year old daughter and I stumbled upon this gem during the week of New Years. A gentleman (the owner I believe) was so incredibly kind and greeted us upon entering. Even running along side my unruly toddler to show her where the kid section was. The wide selection of books at great prices was the icing on the cake. It will be hard not to come here weekly!

There are not many used book stores like this in the entire Chicagoland area, let alone on the south side of the city. It's larger than it looks like it would be from the outside. There are shelves full of books all the way down to the back of the building. We've been here a couple of times and always found at least a couple of books to purchase. The prices are written on the inside of each book and we never came across one that made us think it was too expensive. The books are a fraction of the price they would be new. Parking on 35th Street can be difficult to find but visiting here will be worth it even if you need to park a block or two down!

Such a delightful bookstore! My sister and I stopped in, had a lovely chat with the store owner about grandmothers’ secret histories, and then struggled to choose between an abundance of great titles at literal dream prices. 10/10 would recommend.

Tangible has 6620 books that are either on Amazon, on Ebay, or being processed in the bookstore. Can you guess the number of books on the shelves? Leave guesses on our Facebook page.

Closest guess gets: a tote bag and a $30 gift certificate.
2nd place gets: a tote bag and a $20 gift certificate.
